About the Role

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Lead Optical Assistant to join the team. As a Regional Lead Optical Assistant, you will be accountable for focusing on patient centred care, being a visible leader and mentor for all ophthalmic assistants and ensuring and maintaining high levels of standards.

 

Travel to new and existing sites will be needed for this role. Please note, any travel expenses will be paid inline with the CHEC expenses policy and can be claimed bi-weekly.

 

We are looking for someone who can:

 

  • Act as a mentor providing support and development for new ophthalmic assistants.
  • Ensuring new Ophthalmic Assistants have the best onboarding experience.
  • Work closely with the Regional Operations Manager to support operational activity across the region.
  • Support mobilisation of new regional sites and show them the ‘CHEC way’.
  • Be positive, passionate and demonstrate working closely as a team. 
  • Conduct audits alongside HM/Theatre Lead.
  • Liaise frequently with the clinical education team to ensure you are up to date with current standards/guidance for best practise.
  • Adhere to good record keeping and high standards of quality patient care

 

What you’ll bring to the role: 

 

  • Natural ability to empathise with patients and demonstrate a genuine care
  • Desire to provide the very best quality and safe patient care
  • Good communication, leadership and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Desire and willingness to develop in line with the framework and your personal development plan
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other systems
  • Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to prioritise and schedule work independently
  • Full, clean UK drivers licence
