Are you a Theatre Practitioner who wants to take control of your own rota with flexibility to work the shifts that suit you?
We are looking for flexible Theatre Practitioners to join our bank, as we continue to expand throughout the UK!
About the Role
The key responsibilities of the Theatre Practitioner will be to focus on patient centric care, participating in the entire pathways for all patients from pre-admission, surgery, and post-operative management.
You will be an experienced Theatre Practitioner undertaking preoperative assessment, diagnostics testing, and theatre scrub under AfPP good practice guidance.
We are looking for someone who can:
Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to patients, friends, and families
Prepare clinical areas for clinical activities
Assist surgeons in the delivery of ophthalmic care
Admission and discharge of patients
Participate in departmental audits
Pro-active and keen to learn and have a passion to deliver quality care
Have effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
Thrives in a team environment
To be successful in this role you will need:
Previous ophthalmic theatre experience is required.
Evidence of relevant professional development, clinically, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration / ODP with valid HCPC Registration
Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for delivering first- rate patient safety and care
