About the Role

As the NHS Partner within CHEC you will lead strategic engagement within NHS organisations, building influential partnerships that align with NHS priorities and deliver real impact.

You’ll develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), NHS Trusts, and commissioning bodies to drive commercial growth, expand market access, and spark innovation.

Your work will help shape solutions that transform healthcare and create lasting value for both patients and our business.

 

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies within a healthcare context.
  • Analyse complex healthcare data and translate insights into actionable strategy.
  • Lead initiatives to gain formulary inclusion, pathway integration, and service contracts.
  • Collaborate with sales, clinical, and market access teams to deliver regional growth plans.
  • Co-create non-promotional collaborations with NHS bodies to address health inequalities, improve patient outcomes, and reduce system pressures.
  • Navigate NHS procurement and funding frameworks to support tender submissions and business cases.
  • Improve service quality by evaluating systems and devising new processes as appropriate.
  • Fully responsible and accountable for all aspects of referral performance delivery against budgeted growth plans.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working with or within NHS organisations such as ICBs, Trusts, or commissioning bodies. 
  • Strong understanding of NHS policy, commissioning processes, and procurement frameworks.
  • Proven ability to drive commercial growth through strategic engagement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of health inequalities, community care models, and transformation agendas.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience preparing business cases, tenders, or strategic funding applications.
  • Understanding of compliance and governance requirements including ABPI standards.
  • Demonstrable project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

Since 2012, CHEC has been working with the NHS to increase patient choice and provide better access to exceptional, timely, locally-based ophthalmology and gastroenterology care – free at the point of care.
