About the Role

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to lead our management account’s function, ensuring high-quality reporting, inquisitive business partnering, strong financial controls, and efficient end-to-end finance processes.

The role will initially oversee management accounting and elements of transactional finance, drive process improvements, and support the Group Financial Controller in maintaining a robust control environment.

You will deliver timely financial insights, promote operational discipline, and support data-driven decision-making aligned with the group’s strategic goals

We are looking for someone who can

  • Lead all finance operations, including management accounts, AP, bank recs and cash management
  • Own and streamline month-end close, delivering accurate, timely, well-controlled reporting across entities
  • Drive working capital performance: cashflow forecasting, , payments, stock and banking
  • Produce insightful consolidated monthly accounts aligned to business needs
  • Understand cost of sales and GP across the business, and identify areas of improvement
  • Deliver profitability reporting (site, service, cost centres) to support senior leadership decision-making
  • Partner with department heads on budgets and forecasts
  • Provide clear P&L and cashflow insights, identifying and driving profit improvements
  • Strengthen financial controls through robust processes and reconciliations
  • Support senior finance leaders with ad-hoc analysis and strategic projects
  • Support audit and year-end processes, working closely with external auditors and internal team

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, including month-end close, financial reporting, and control environments
  • Proven experience leading finance operations and driving process improvement in fast-paced settings
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams with a focus on performance and service delivery
  • Strong track record of business partnering with operational leaders and senior stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong capability with financial reporting tools
  • Experience working with integrated finance/ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve, automate, and digitise both systems and processes to increase efficiency and control
